I am so glad that you are in my 5th grade class!
I am thrilled to start a new adventure with you in my class! I will use our class blog throughout the year to post class updates, share helpful links and videos, and let you know what is going on. This is a great way for you and your parents to stay updated on what is happening in our classroom.
I had a rewarding summer! At the beginning of the summer, I traveled to Uganda with a group from North Greenville University. It was amazing being able to love the natives, share stories with them, and play all kinds of games! I hope to go back in a few years. When I returned from Uganda, I was a nanny for a 6 and 11 year old. During my time off, I got to spend time with my family that lives in Nashville. I also traveled to Columbia and Athens to see some of my friends from college. The rest of my summer was spent getting our classroom ready and planning for this school year.
The pictures below are of me and my precious friends, Sylvia and Foste, in Uganda, a rainbow over the hills in Hoima, Uganda, and my best friend Kassidy and I waiting for the fireworks on the Fourth of July.
